CaseMaker is an Internet-based legal research service offered free to Law Students. Its coverage includes some North Carolina-specific materials not readily accessible elsewhere – e.g., the Pattern Jury Instructions and unpublished state case opinions.

N.C. CaseMaker is available at www.ncbar.org. Access requires a membership number and password. To join the North Carolina Bar Association and receive your password for CaseMaker, go to www.ncbar.org . At the top of the screen you will see a membership option with a pull down menu. On the menu, choose the option for joining/renewing membership. At the next screen, scroll down until you see Law School Division (free). Click on this option and follow the instructions.
