Media Covers Campbell Law Raleigh Opening

RALEIGH, N.C. – Print, broadcast and online media from around the Triangle toured the new home of the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law on September 11. Daily papers and television stations offered stories to their viewers on September 11-12, and monthly periodicals will publish stories throughout the fall.

On Sunday, September 13, the News & Observer of Raleigh included a 12-page special insert about Campbell Law School’s move to downtown Raleigh. The Sunday News & Observer is circulated to over 200,000 homes and businesses.

The insert can be viewed in its entirety on the News & Observer’s website.

The piece featured editorials about the new law school building, a timeline of Campbell Law from 1976 to the present, opportunities for students and faculty in downtown Raleigh, and an update about progress on the main Campbell University main campus in Buies Creek.

Prior to Campbell Law School’s relocation, Raleigh was the largest state capital in the nation without a law school. The new law school features 13 state-of-the-art classrooms, a spacious legal writing center, clinical space, three courtrooms and other amenities.

Campbell Law School is also the new home of the Raleigh Division of the North Carolina Business Court, a specialized court that handles complex business litigation, making it one of only a handful of the nation’s law schools to house a working court. The Business Court will open in the Campbell Law School building in October.
