The book is designed for use not only as the primary text for a stand-alone courses focused on client interviewing, counseling and decision-making, but also as an ancillary or companion text in all clinical programs, as well as in courses such as pretrial litigation, trial practice, negotiation or mediation.

“We are so proud of Professor Cary and the tangible results of her hard work,” said Dean Melissa Essary. “It is further proof that our faculty members are not only devoted to rigorous teaching and instruction, they are equally committed to pursuing relevant scholarship outside their own classrooms.”
