RALEIGH, N.C. and LORIS, S.C. – Campbell Law School has announced that The Felburn Foundation of Loris, SC has reserved the naming of the main library reading room via a $500,000 contribution to the Campaign for Raleigh.
This is one of the largest gifts ever received by the law school and another major step in the $27.5 million dollar capital campaign.
“We are extraordinarily grateful for this major gift from the Felburn Foundation,” said Dean Melissa Essary. “Felburn has been such a terrific supporter of Campbell Law School, especially our library programming, and we are honored to name the main reading room in the new law school in honor of these fine friends.”
Through May 1, nearly $2.5 million in commitments have been made to the campaign. The new Law School building will open in Raleigh in August 2009, and the capital campaign will run through December 2010.
“The Felburn Foundation has been such a friend to Campbell Law School and the University,” said University President, Jerry Wallace. “We are grateful for this significant contribution, and excited to continue this relationship in the move to Raleigh.”
