BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law is pleased to announce the addition of Julie Beavers, as director of career services and professional development. Beavers brings with her nearly fifteen years of recruiting experience in the professional services industry.
“We are extremely pleased that Julie Beavers has joined the Law School as our new Director of Career Services and professional development. She brings a wealth of experience in recruiting and job placement from across our region,” said Dean Melissa Essary. “We’re delighted to have her part of the team, here at Campbell Law School.”
Beavers began her career in recruiting with Womble Carlyle Sandridge& Rice PLLC, a large corporate law firm based in the southeast. During her thirteen-year career at Womble Carlyle, she managed campus and lateral recruiting as well as the summer intern program for the Raleigh and Research Triangle Park offices in North Carolina. In addition to recruiting, she also managed the associate professional development program.
Beavers was also a founding member of the Triangle Association of Legal Recruitment Administrators (TALRA), which is city group of legal recruitment and law school professionals based in the Raleigh-Durham area. She held numerous leadership positions in TALRA. Beavers also held several regional leadership positions within the National Association of Law Placement (NALP), the organization that governs campus recruiting for accredited law schools and private employers.
Following her time atWomble, Beavers joined RSM McGladrey/McGladrey& Pullen, the nation’s fifth largest CPA firm, as the campus-recruiting manager for the Carolinas practice. At McGladrey, her responsibilities included entry-level hiring, university relations and diversity recruiting programs.
A native of eastern North Carolina, Julie graduated with a B.S. from East Carolina University in 1993.
