Campbell Law Student Awarded Public Interest Law Initiative Grant

RALEIGH, N.C. –Rising second-year Campbell Law student Molly Hilburn-Holte has been awarded the Campbell Public Interest Law Students Association (CPILSA) Grant for outstanding commitment, passion, and service in the public interest law sector. The $1,500 grant was awarded by CPILSA following a thorough review of applicants by the CPILSA Grant Application Committee.

“We are pleased to award Molly the inaugural CPILSA grant,” said CPILSA Vice President Anna McLeod. “She exemplifies the spirit and commitment necessary of serving those in need, and we are thrilled to support her in her service with the North Carolina Prisoner Legal Services (NCPLS) this summer.”

A native of Greenville, N.C., Hilburn-Holte will assist NCPLS in serving the nearly 40,000 men and women incarcerated by the North Carolina Department of Correction during her summer break.

“I am very grateful to CPILSA for awarding me this grant, and I am excited to be able to spend this summer working with a legal community that is focused on public interest law,” said Hilburn-Holte. “I will look forward to sharing my experience with the Campbell Law community in the fall.”
