Campbell Law Students Find Success at ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition

RALEIGH, N.C. - Two teams of students from Campbell Law School offered strong showings last weekend at the ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition for the Southeast Region at Washington & Lee Law School in Lexington, Va. The four competing second-year students were coached by Campbell Law Professor of Law Jean Cary.

This year’s competition focused on the area of employment law.

Wes Saunders and Jessica Yount finished both the preliminary and semifinal rounds in first place, ultimately taking third overall. Andrew Evans and Molly Hilburn-Holte also performed admirably, missing the semifinal cut by just one point and placing seventh overall.

“Both teams demonstrated great counseling skills, delivering thoughtful and ethical analytical arguments,” said Cary. “They served as great ambassadors for Campbell Law.”
