Campbell Law wins N.C. Bar Feeding Frenzy food drive competition

RALEIGH, N.C. - Campbell Law School collected more food donations than any other law school in the state for the 2013 North Carolina Feeding Frenzy. Led by Campbell Law Student Bar Association President Anna Brinkley and students Dorothy Gooding, Brian Lawler, Jasmine Lucas, and Brad Trahan, the law school collected more than 6,500 pounds of canned food in just three weeks.

“Campbell Law School is a special place because of the people,” said Brinkley. “This is just another example of our law school community coming together and supporting a worthy cause.”

The food drive was conducted March 18 through April 5 by the North Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and the North Carolina Association of Food Banks. The collection resulted in approximately 180,000 pounds, providing the equivalent of 150,000 meals for hungry North Carolinians across the state. Food will distributed by the North Carolina Association of Food Banks.

North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper will honor the winners of each category, including Campbell Law, on Wednesday, April 24 at the N.C. Bar Center in nearby Cary.
