J. Stanley McQuade

J. Stanley McQuade is the Lynch Professor of the Philosophy of law. A native of Northern Ireland, he graduated In Queen's University, Belfast, with top honors in both law and philosophy, going on to take a Ph.D. in medieval philosophy. Finally he graduated in Medicine and became an anesthesiologist., practicing in Western North Carolina before coming to Campbell in 1978. He has been a Methodist minister for over fifty years and has found all his background studies and experience helpful to his teaching in Campbell. He early became interested in computer assisted learning and is currently engaged in developing distance learning programs. He has made something of a specialty in teaching lawyers to read medical records and has conducted seminars on that topic all over the United states and also in Great Britain and Ireland. He teaches courses in legal philosophy, legal history, torts, products liability and medical records.
