Dwight Allen
Mr. Allen is an attorney at Allen Law Offices, PLLC. He has 35 years of experience in the practice of law. He began his career in the general practice of law and has practiced in government, private, and in-house corporate practice. His current practice is limited to handling regulatory and legislative matters on behalf of energy and telecommunications companies. He previously served as Secretary, Vice President, and President of a large telecom company. In addition to his professional duties, Mr. Allen has served in a number of volunteer capacities and as a member or chair of non-profit and professional boards, including the local chapter of the American Red Cross, the Governor’s Commission on Crime and Punishment, the Eastern North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the North Carolina Justice Academy Foundation, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Global Transpark Foundation, the North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry, the North Carolina Electronics and Information Technologies Association, the North Carolina Telecommunications Industry Association, the Joint Legislative Committee on Information Technology of the North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Community Colleges Foundation, and the North Carolina Child Advocacy Institute. Mr. Allen was recognized by the North Carolina Telecommunications Industry Association for his outstanding contributions to the industry in North Carolina and, in 2000, received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, North Carolina’s highest civilian award. He has a Martindale Hubbell AV® peer rating.
