LaToya Powell
LaToya Powell is a 2005 graduate of University of North Carolina School of Law where she was honored for her contributions to the law school community with induction into the James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society. Prior to attending law school, Powell attended North Carolina State University where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Criminology. Following law school, Powell prosecuted cases for the Johnston County District Attorney’s office in Smithfield, North Carolina and served as the lead prosecutor in Domestic Violence Court and Juvenile Court. Powell presently serves the North Carolina Department of Justice as an Assistant Attorney General in the appellate section and is the lead section attorney for juvenile justice matters. Powell joins Campbell’s LRW program after enjoying teaching experiences for the North Carolina District Attorney’s Association and three years as an adjunct instructor for Axia College of the University of Phoenix Online.
