Wendy Vonnegut

Methodist University

Wendy Vonnegut is the Director of Legal Studies at Methodist University. She also serves as an Associate Professor and PreLaw Advisor. She currently chairs the Conflict Management Committee, and serves as a member of the Tenure and Promotion Committee. She is also Chair Elect of the Prelaw Advisors National Council.

In addition to Methodist University, Mrs. Vonnegut has taught at Saint Ambrose University, Fayetteville Technical Community College, and Webster University.  She has taught more than 20 different courses across her career, and has led numerous seminars and presentations.

Prior to her career in higher education, Mrs. Vonnegut served as a law clerk for three federal immigration judges, was a legal assistant at the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of N.C., and worked with Army career and alumni services.

Extremely active in her community and profession, Mrs. Vonnegut is active in several legal and educational professional associations. From 2012-14 she served as President of the Southern Association of Pre-Law Advisors.

Mrs. Vonnegut earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a J.D. from Mercer Law School.
