Dennis Wicker is a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Raleigh focusing on government relations. He served two four-year terms as North Carolina’s Lieutenant Governor from 1993 to 2001, serving as a member of the state board of education and the state board of economic development. He was the first statewide elected official to chair the state board of community colleges, which sets policy for the state’s 58-campus system. Prior to serving as Lieutenant Governor he served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for 12 years and was elected House Majority Leader by his peers during his final two terms. He serves on the board of directors for Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated and First Bank and has received numerous accolades and awards.
