About Schilawski: Schilawski was admitted to practice in North Carolina, after graduating from Campbell University Law School in 1982. He is a principal in the Wake Family Law Group in Raleigh, N.C. While in law school, he served as editor-in-chief of the Campbell Law Review. The North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization certified Schilawski as a Specialist in Family Law, and he has limited his practice to family since 1989. Schilawski is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina, the North Carolina Supreme Court and all subordinate courts. He has argued family law cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. The North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission certified Schilawski as a Family Financial Mediator in 1999. He serves frequently as a mediator and arbitrator in family law cases. Schilawski is a member numerous associations, including the Wake County Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar, and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Schilawski is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs sponsored by such providers as the North Carolina Bar Foundation, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and Wake Forest University School of Law. He has earned the highest AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
