- Christian H. Staples has been appointed Chair of the Retail & Consumer Business Sector at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP.
Class of 2008
- Mica Nguyen Worthy, a partner in the Cranfill Sumner LLP Charlotte office, has been named chair of the firm’s Aviation Law Practice Group. She has submitted a claim to NASA to recover for her clients’ damages resulting from a spaced debris incident. This is a precedent-setting case that could set the standard for the future of space debris claims in both the public and private sectors, according to a press release from the firm. She was awarded the 2024 Distinguished Leader in Diversity and Inclusion Award by the firm and she has been listed in the 2024 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars List.
- Kris Hilscher is now a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is a partner at Sullivan and Hilscher Family Law.
- John “Brian” Ratledge has been re-elected to serve as a District Court Judge in Judicial District Court 10.
