What is Family Day and the Law Day Awards Program?
Family Day and Law Day Awards Banquet | March 29, 2025
Family Day will be held at the law school the morning of Saturday, March 29, beginning with a light breakfast at 8:30 a.m. This includes a class for family and friends to experience the Socratic method, a mock trial demonstration and a client counseling demonstration. Families will also be able to tour the law school. Registration is free but required.

The Law Day Awards Banquet includes an awards ceremony, dinner and silent auction at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, 421 S. Salisbury St. This banquet recognizes students, student organizations, professors and staff for their exceptional work over the past year. Those being recognized include law students who have exemplified extraordinary academic and extracurricular success during the previous three law school semesters, including the 2024 Book Award winners, advocacy program participants and student-voted award winners. Dinner is included. Tickets are $25 for students and $30 for guests. There is a limit of 10 guests per student.
The following superlative awards will be recognized during the dinner program:
- David Teddy Innovative Leadership Award
- Student Organization of the Year
- Professor of the Year
- Administrator of the Year
- Adjunct Professor of the Year
- 1L Professor of the Year
- LRW Professor of the Year
The evening begins with a reception, followed by a sit-down dinner. In addition, during the dinner, Campbell Law’s Public Interest Law Student Association (CPILSA), will host an auction. The reception will begin at 5 p.m. and the Awards Banquet will begin at 6 p.m. Space is limited.

NOTE: Registration for both events closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 21, unless the banquet tickets sell out sooner. Students may register for one or both events.
